The Wedding Photography Forte
I love wedding photography and I do wish to tell you why.
I’ve been practicing wedding photography for over 5 years now. When I first started, I would shoot marriages carrying aSony RX-100 – clicking photographs of anything and everything.
During these five years of shooting marriages, I underwent many highs and lows. From engagements and marriages to stagnation and rejection, it has been a kind of rollercoaster journey.
No matter how frustrating photography can be – it includes the community and the practice – I have never given up on loving it more and more every day.
Freedom
Photography grants me a sense of freedom. With this never-ending series of engagements and marriage ceremonies, I’m able to take full control of the brief. Having no deadlines – I’m led by my own self.
Although there are certain things I get worried about when I am out shooting, I’m in full control during the course of a project. And, that kind of freedom is priceless – and indeed addictive!
Character
Wedding photography allows me to explore depths as it brings so many factors with it; travel- destination weddings, meeting new people- family gatherings, chemistry- the love stories, and art- the henna and jewelry, all come under the umbrella of wedding photography.
Peace of mind
I have an overactive imagination. Sometimes, I find it incredibly hard to concentrate, there’s no wrong calling me a chronic over-thinker.
All of this flies away when I’m out shooting weddings. Watching two souls unite, getting to know about the bond they share is something that gives me peace.
Writing Skills
I never studied journalism or took a writing course. In fact, back five years ago, I never imagined I could even be a writer. I used to experiment with different topics but never had that desire to really write about them.
Then wedding photography knocked the doors of my life and imbibed in me, the ability to write. I wanted a medium to communicate with the world outside about something that I loved. And photography proved to be one.
Stability
In life friends, partners, and even family may arrive and leave. But I have this strong belief that wedding photography will remain a recession-less field. Obviously, someone has to get married someday, and that one day will be my chance to showcase my creativity.
Of all the love and time I devoted to wedding photography, there were skills I acquired while working with the best photography school in Chandigarh, none other than Procolor School.
